The Secretary of Defense shall ensure that at any Space Force installation with launch and landing facilities—(1)the minimum staffing requirements for firefighters and the requirements relating to structural and aircraft, rescue, and firefighting apparatus pursuant to section 388 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 (Public Law 117—263; 10 U.S.C. 2661 note) and section 1110 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025 (Public Law 118—159; 10 U.S.C. note prec. 9771) apply on a permanent basis; (2)all firefighting structural and aircraft, rescue, and firefighting apparatus are maintained at optimum staffing levels and optimum levels of service at all times; and(3)the cross-manning of firefighter personnel is not permitted between a first due structural fire engine response apparatus and an aircraft, rescue, and firefighting apparatus.
