Statutory text

Section 50401 of title 46, United States Code, is amended—(1)by redesignating and transferring such section to appear after subsection (k) of section 102 of title 49, United States Code (as added by this Act), as subsection (j), including by redesignating each subordinate provision appropriately to reflect the transfer and by amending the enumerator, subsection catchline, typeface, and typestyle to conform to those appearing in other subsections of such section; (2)in paragraph (1), as so redesignated, by inserting in the Department within the Office of the Deputy Secretary after established; and(3)in paragraph (4), as so redesignated—(A)in subparagraph (A), as so redesignated, by adding at the end the following:(iii)Work planThe Coordinating Board shall approve annually a yearly work plan and to carry out the activities of the Committee.; (B)in subparagraph (B)—(i)by striking The Secretary of Transportation and inserting the following:

(i) In general. The Secretary of Transportation; and (ii)by adding at the end the following:(ii)ReportingThe Executive Director report directly to the Deputy Secretary.; and (C)by adding at the end the following: (D)Executive SecretariatThe Executive Secretariat shall provide administrative, analytical, and operational support to the Executive Director to accomplish the purpose and activities of the Committee. The Secretary of Transportation, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the Secretary of Commerce, shall each provide a minimum of one full-time staff member to the Executive Secretariat. Any head of any other member agency may provide additional staff support..
