Sec. 146Limitation on availability of funds for C–37 aircraft recapitalization program

TL;DR

Authorizes FY2027 appropriations for the Air Force for the procurement of C—37 aircraft, not more than 50 percent may be obligated or expended until a period of 30 days has elapsed following the date on which the Secretary of the Air Force submits to the congressional defense committees—(1)the acquisition strategy for such aircraft; and (2)a justification for using other than competitive procedures under section 3204 of title 10, United States Code, for the award of a contract for the procurement of such aircraft.

Of the funds authorized to be appropriated by this Act or otherwise made available for fiscal year 2027 for the Air Force for the procurement of C—37 aircraft, not more than 50 percent may be obligated or expended until a period of 30 days has elapsed following the date on which the Secretary of the Air Force submits to the congressional defense committees—(1)the acquisition strategy for such aircraft; and (2)a justification for using other than competitive procedures under section 3204 of title 10, United States Code, for the award of a contract for the procurement of such aircraft.
