Sec. 1242 — Extension of Pacific Deterrence Initiative

(a) Funding. Subsection (c) of section 1251 of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (10 U.S.C. 113 note) is amended—(1)by striking the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026 and inserting the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2027; and(2)by striking fiscal year 2026 and inserting fiscal year 2027.

(b) Reports and briefings. Subsection (d) of such section is amended—(1)in paragraph

(1) (A), in the matter preceding clause (i), by striking fiscal years 2027 and 2028 and inserting fiscal years 2028 and 2029; and(2)in paragraph (2), by striking fiscal years 2027 and 2028 each place it appears and inserting fiscal years 2028 and 2029.

(c) Extension of plan. Subsection (e) of such section is amended, in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking fiscal years 2027 and 2028 and inserting fiscal years 2028 and 2029.
