Sec. 121Temporary unavailability of amphibious warfare ships

Statutory text

Section 8062(b) of title 10, United States Code, is amended—(1)by inserting (1) before The naval; and(2)by adding at the end the following new paragraph:

(2) In this subsection, the term temporarily unavailable, when used with respect to an amphibious warfare ship, means that the ship has not surpassed its planned availability by a margin of—(A)greater than 100 percent of the nominal duration of that availability in 2026 or 2027;(B)greater than 75 percent of the nominal duration of that availability in 2028 or 2029;(C)greater than 50 percent of the nominal duration of that availability in 2030 or 2031; and(D)greater than 25 percent of the nominal duration of that availability in 2032 or any year thereafter..
